A teacher was explaining the importance of telling the truth to his students. He cited an example from the life of American president George Washington.
Teacher: “One day George Washington cut a tree in their garden. When his father asked who had cut the tree he came forward and said he did it. His father did not punish him. Can anybody in the class tell me why his father did not punish him?”
A student stood up and said,”Could it be that he was still holding the axe?”
